The Simplicity of Youth
My niece is almost three - plenty old enough to go crazy bananas about presents, and plenty old enough to know which presents she likes versus doesn't like. But mercifully she's just a bit too young to judge a gift by its price tag.
Case in point: After tossing aside some expensive, thoughtful clothing items, she went ga-ga crazy for the surprise gift hit of the night - a bar of orange scented soap.
Here she is fast asleep under the Christmas tree, clutching her precious new prized soap, hopefully still dreaming in the perfect, deranged logic of youth.
